Our Community

We’re not just a neighborhood - we’re a community!

 

Our cohousing neighborhood is intentionally designed, with private homes clustered around shared spaces. Each single-family home has traditional amenities, including a private kitchen, storage, and porch. Our shared spaces include a common house, with a large kitchen and dining area, basement storage, and recreational spaces. Shared outdoor spaces include a picnic shelter in the center of the community, parking, walkways, open green space, a mail kiosk, bike storage shed, and a vegetable and flower garden. Neighbors also have access to shared resources like tools and lawnmowers. The community also includes a two-unit guest house, where guests of residents are welcome to stay when visiting. 

 

Households have independent incomes and private lives, but neighbors collaboratively plan and manage shared spaces and community activities. The legal structure is an HOA...but ours is a little bit different. Instead of a board of directors led by a president that makes decisions for the community, we make decisions collectively - making sure that all voices are heard and decisions are made efficiently.
